How To Print the Calendar's Pictures:
On your Windows XP system only. On other systems you will have to use the
software that came with your printer, or a commercially available graphic
editor. Note: you can print this page by clicking on "File" at the
top, left side of the window and then selecting "Print".
- Click on "Start" in the lower left hand corner of the desktop.
- Select "My Computer" from the menu.
- On the left hand side of the window you will see one of two displays:
a list of "folders" or a menu of
"Tasks". At the top of the window on the "Tool
bar" you will see a "Folders" icon.
Click on it until the left hand
side displays a list of "Folders".
- Click on the box next to the CD Drive (StarTrekCD1) until the folders on
the CD are displayed.
- Click on the "Artwork" Folder. It will display the files
in the folder on the right hand side of the window.
- At the top of the window click on the "Folders" icon
again. Click on it until the left hand display becomes a menu
of "Tasks".
- In the right hand side of the window, click on one of the pictures you
want to print. Note: to see "Thumbnails" of the pictures
click on the "Views" icon and select "Thumbnails".
- On the left hand side of the menu, click on "Print this
File"
- The "Photo Printing Wizard" will start. Make sure that
only one of the pictures is selected then click on "next".
Note: you can select and print more than one picture at a time;
however, some printers will give you "overrun" errors
and if you run into any other problems you may waste some ink and paper.
- Select your "Printer" and change the "Printing Preferences"
if you want. Note you may want to change the orientation to
"Landscape". When you finish, click on next.
- If you like what you see, click on "next". Otherwise click
on "Back", then go to the previous step and change your "Printer"
or the "Printing Preferences".
- Go back to the "Artwork" folder and print another picture.
How To Print the Calendar's Month Pages:
Using the Internet Explorer (IE) on Windows XP. Other Internet browsers
may be different.
Note: you can print this page by clicking on "File" at the top,
left side of the window and then selecting "Print".
- Display the month page you want to print by clicking on it in the table.
- Click on "File" in the upper left hand corner of the IE.
- Select "Print Preview" and the "Print Preview" window
will pop up.
- Click on the "Page Setup" icon.
- Change the Orientation to "Landscape" and set all of the
"Margins" to 0.5 inches. Make sure you write the current
margins values down in case you want to restore them later.
- If you don't want the header and footer to print, you must blank
them out. Make sure you write them down on a piece of paper, or cut
and paste them into a file so you can restore them when you finish.
- If you like what you see, click on "Print" in the upper left
hand corner of the window. Otherwise go back to "Page Setup" in
step 4.
- Continue printing each month.
How To Copy Files from the CD
Note: you can print this page by clicking on "File" at the top,
left side of the window and then selecting "Print".
When using "Windows Explorer" or "My Computer" to list and copy the files you can
activate the "AutoPlay" feature on the CD if you are not careful.
"AutoPlay" Is the default when you click on the CD Drive name on the right
hand side of the window. "Expand" is the default when you click
on the CD Drive name on the left hand side of the window.
- Click on "Start" in the lower left hand corner of the desktop.
- Select "My Computer" from the menu.
- On the left hand side of the window you will see one of two displays:
a list of "folders" or a menu of
"Tasks". At the top of the window on the "Tool
bar" you will see a
"Folders" icon. Click on it until the left hand
side displays a list of "Folders".
Make a new Folder:
- Click on the [+] box next to "My Documents" on the left hand
side of the window to list all of the folders under it.
- Click on the "My Pictures" folder on the left hand side of the window
to list all all of the subfolders.
- With "My Pictures" highlighted click on "File" in the
"Tool bar" at the top left side of the window.
- Select "New" and "Folder" from the menu. This
will create an "New Folder" with the name highlighted.
- Enter a name for the folder. For example "StarTrek".
Note if you have problems renaming the folder, right click on the folder and
select "Rename" from the menu.
Copy the Files:
- Click on the [+] box next to the CD Drive (StarTrekCD1) on the left hand
side of the window until the folders on
the CD are displayed.
- Click on the "Artwork" Folder. It will display the files
in the folder on the right hand side of the window.
- Select all of the files. Note: "Ctrl A" is one way
to select all of the files.
- Using the Scroll bar on the left hand side of the window, scroll up until
you can see the "StarTrek" folder you just created.
- Drag and Drop the files into the new "StarTrek" folder or
you can use the "Copy Files" function described below.
- To use the "Copy Files" function, click on "Edit" in the "Tool bar" at the top left side of the window and select
"Copy to Folder...".
- Using the [+] button to view any subfolders, scroll through the
directories and select the new "StarTrek" folder you created
above.
- Click on the "Copy" button.
How To Uninstall NavHelper or gPhotoShow
Note: you can print this page by clicking on "File" at the top,
left side of the window and then selecting "Print".
- Close all Internet browsers that you have open.
- From your "Start" menu, select "Settings" (if present) and then "Control Panel".
- Select "Add/Remove Programs".
- To remove the extra "Nav" products select "NavHelper" from the list and then
select the add/remove button. Note: If you only want to remove the
"NavExcel search toolbar" then just select it.
Selecting "NavHelper" will remove both.
- If you want to remove the screen saver, select "gPhotoShow" from the list
and then select the add/remove button.
- After you have removed all of the products you want to remove, select the "OK" button.
- Shutdown and Restart your computer once the uninstall process is complete.
